The millionaire business woman who brought a successful legal challenge against the Government over Brexit claims she has told not to go outside by police.
Gina Miller, 51, says her children have been subjected to verbal attacks following her appearance on the BBC's Andrew Marr Show with Nigel Farage.
Speaking at a private members’ club in London’s Mayfair, she described the level of abuse she had received as “surreal”.
Gina also claims she was told to avoid all public places - even the Tube.
She said: “It isn’t safe for me to go outside”.
We knew it would be bad. But nothing like this, obviously. It's bullying of the worst degree, and I'm not going to let them win.
“This is not the society we have to live in. If anything, all this has proved, more than anything, is that I have to do this.”
She also told how she did not take the threats seriously at first because “they're kind of normal nowadays”.
The Government is set to challenge the High Court ruling that parliament must have a say in when Article 50 is triggered.
But Ms Miller has dismissed the idea, saying: “The appeal is unwinnable, it's just ludicrous. It is unappealable.”
