Hillary Clinton to speak for first time since losing US election race

After the timely spectacle president elect Donald Trump taking to the stage for a victory speech to the rousing theme from the film Air Force One, Hillary Clinton kept her powder dry.

The former First Lady decided to sleep on it before making any statements to the media in the wake of her defeat to Donald Trump in the race for the White House.
But Clinton is now expected to make her first public appearance at the New Yorker Hotel in Manhattan in the coming hours to address staff and supporters.
Sources in the US say the former Presidential candidate will speak at 3.30pm UK time, which is 10.30am New York time - the event has been delayed by an hour.
After two years of brutal campaigning, Clinton will likely thank her staff and aides and the campaign, and is set to treat it as a farewell address.

A delegation of Clinton's staff were spotted entering The New Yorker hotel a few hours ago.
She is understood to have already called Mr Trump to congratulate him on his victory
Clinton may have to try to calm tensions across the country after disorder broke out in the wake of the defeat.
Some of her supporters were filmed setting fire to the US flag while marching through the streets of Portland, Oregon, shouting "F*** Donald Trump".
A jubilant Trump took to the stage at around 8.30am UK time to speak (around 3.30am in New York) before going to bed.
After a brief rest break, the President elect was back up and ready to get to work.
