A secret Geordie Shore cast member has been revealed - and chances are you never noticed her before.
The woman, who was Scottish and not actually a north east of England native, appeared in one episode of the show as an extra castmate who tried to get it on withGaz Beadle .
Five years ago when the MTV show first began, there were eight main stars: Gaz, Charlotte Crosby, James Tindale, Holly Hagan, Jay Gardner, Vicky Pattison, Sophie Kasaei and Greg Lake.
What a lot of people don’t know is that a new cast member was brought in in the shape of a Scottish girl called Marie.
“She had long blonde hair, a great body and no personality. She was about as much fun as earache.
“I suspect [producers] thought she may ruffle a few feathers, but she failed to cause even a ripple because she was so dull she was totally edited out.”
But she did make her mark and made it to the show’s final cut. In the first of the hour-long holiday specials, Marie is seen playing drinking games with the gang, tashing on with Holly, taking part in a wet t-shirt competition and propositioning Gaz Beadle.
Gaz left her high and dry, but the damage had been done for on/off love Charlotte. Vicky said at the time: “She is just a random girl. She has no purpose.”
After that she disappeared, never to hang out with the Geordies ever again. Sophie Kasaei, who returns to the new series of the show, tweeted about ‘Marie’ - possibly the only other person to remember her.
