She has blasted the Strictly Come Dancing money as “s***” in a shocking outburst, admitting that she's asked every year to join the BBC One show.
The former Spice Girl, who refused to join her former bandmates Emma Bunton, Mel B and Geri Horner for a reunion, confessed that while Strictly is the only real TV show she could see herself appearing on, the money isn't good enough.
Mel, 42, revealed that she sat down with Strictly bosses about hitting the dancefloor and claimed that they approach her every year.
Strictly is really the only one of those shows that I would consider and I have had a meeting with them – they ask me every year to do it,” she said, according to The Daily Star.
“The problem is if you do Strictly it’s so high profile and you’ll find yourself in the sidebar of shame every day.”
She then added: “And the money’s s***!”
It sounds like Mel wouldn't have had a lot of time to practise her waltz as it is, as the singer is releasing her new solo album later this month.
The new album, Version of Me, is dedicated to victims of bullying.
“Version Of Me is about how people want you to fit into a mould and you can’t do that,” she explained.
“It’s so important to be the person you are and be who you want to be. The song is about how I don’t have the patience to be the victim that you made me.”
