Prince's first wife plans to release an 'intimate memoir' about her relationship with the star

Prince's first wife is planning to write an "intimate memoir" about her relationship with the late star.

Matye Garcia, who married the Purple Rain singer in 1996, will be releasing the book next year, entitled The Most Beautiful, a reference to his hit song The Most Beautiful Girl In The World, which was inspired by the 47-year-old beauty.
In a statement, Garcia says that she shared a "rare, almost otherworldly connection" with Prince and that her memoir will focus on "the highs and lows – always coming from a loving place, as this man is still a part of my family and always will be."

Garcia, who divorced the star in 2000, will release her memoir in April 2017.
She gave birth to a son in October 1996 but he died within a week after being born with Pfeiffer syndrome. She also later suffered a miscarriage.
Meanwhile, she recently showed off a tattoo which she got in honour of her famous ex.
Sharing a video of the design previously, she wrote: "This makes me smile and cry... Love is eternal!! Will remember that every time I look at my hand. To all of you who are hurting ....

"I'm sorry for your pain as well!! But love him for eternity! Thank you @nspired1 for making such a beautiful piece and @luvinflyingcolors for making such a beautiful video! I'm smiling with tears!"
She added: "And thank you TAC cream for making it painless (sic)"
Mayte recently revealed she would like for Prince's fans to remember his birthday in June every year by not eating animal products.

She shared: "Prince didn't want to celebrate birthdays, but to live life, to elevate and educate to the next level of enlightenment.
"My mission every 7 June is not only to celebrate his birth, but also with Peta to remember this man by making 7 June a day where Prince fans go vegan to see how much better they feel and to honour his kind legacy."
Prince tragically passed away from a fentanyl overdose at his Paisley Park estate in Minnesota in April at the age of 57.
